Due to the timing and change in sentence structure in addition to straight up changing the meaning of parts, I find this higly irritating.
As I understand part of the japanese and process that in parallel to the sub, this shit makes it hard to follow and is sometimes even confusing.
A sub that doesn't follow the 'flow' of the spoken part is terrible.

These subtitles are using the same language Jargon as characters in the game Cyberpunk 2077. There likely isn’t a translation in Japanese for many of these words like “choom”, “eddies”, etc

WOW, Great start to the show.
Really build up the city with all those extreme examples, the lightning, the night life, the monks, the academy, the trauma team, the music. Everything seems pushed to the extreme. It really gets you interested and invested into the world.

The death was very shocking and sorrowful, he didn't even had a last time to talk to her as in most anime troops. And the whole context pushes him to make a decision, further emphasizing our life is a mix of limitations and oportunities. That not always we can be what we aspired to be.

Briliant episode 10/10.
